PROGRAMS AND FEES          (reduced fees for families in need)

COLLEGE PLANNING 101 HYBRID PROGRAM…   a one time visit program of two hours with significant
advance preparation that allows the student and family to follow a proven process to college
admission. This “do-it-yourself” College Planning 101 program provides all the needed  information in
a step-by-step format, plus telephone follow-up and includes personality and career matching for
college major & minor selection, college search including a recommended list of eight total “reach,
ballpark and safety” colleges, application tips, key calendar dates, financial aid & scholarship advice,
and Test Prep and Essay insights.  A special organization kit is included to help master the college
search and admission process.  Unlimited telephone follow-up included.    
                  
                                                                                                        


COLLEGE PLANNING 101

SENIOR YEAR
(1 YEAR)…    Includes all of College Planning 101, My Interests with personality
identification, Career Interests matching for possible majors & minors, College “right fit”
search, College Applications with essay and Test Prep advice, Financial Aid and scholarship
planning. Includes key deadline planning calendar and organizational kit. This is an intensive

JUNIOR YEAR (2 YEARS) Focuses on high school course selection, career interests and
college readiness, Test Prep and college search. Includes My Interests, Career Interests,
College search and preparation for college applications, including extracurricular and
volunteer activities. Plus, advice on college visits.  An organizational kit helps to keep everyone
on track.                                                                                                                                        


SOPHOMORE YEAR (3 YEARS)…   Includes all the above plus course and extracurricular and
volunteer activity planning,  course planning for final three years of high school,  PSAT prep
advice, College interests are explored and personality matching with possible careers is
explored. Organizational kit is included.                                                                            


FRESHMAN YEAR (4 YEARS) Four years of total course planning, extracurricular and
volunteer activities advice, Includes all areas of College Planning 101.  Opportunity to set goals
and objectives leading to college admission at the “right fit” college.                         


STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES
YES, there is a college or career for you. There are opportunities for both furthering your education at a
higher education institution and for exploring career opportunities.  College and Career Associates
have extensive experience in helping students with ADD, visual and physical impairments and students
with other learning differences to find the “right fit” for their best opportunities.
          

MARKETING THE STUDENT ATHLETE
Financial aid may be available for all athletes. The difference between getting an athletic scholarship or
not may depend upon how you market yourself to specific college coaches. College and Career
Associates offers experienced steps to use in your marketing process.
          

VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS
Students with interests and demonstrated talent in the visual and performing arts, face unique
decisions. Conservatory versus college and the important audition or portfolio versus an interview.
College and Career Associates is in close contact and well networked with leading conservatories,
academies and colleges that have strong programs in the visual and performing arts.
                   

MILITARY OPTIONS
Today, the modern military offers numerous opportunities, including (1) Reserve Officer Training Corp
(ROTC) which can provide full or substantial payment of a college education in return for a several
years of active military duty as an officer; (2) Military Service Academies including West Point, Annapolis
and Colorado Springs locations. These are highly competitive and highly selective for seeking a military
career; (3) Enlistment in the active duty of The Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force or Coast Guard can be a
rewarding experience with guaranteed job responsibilities and location before enlisting. College and
Career Associates is experienced in helping to guide indiviuals to the decisions that best fits that their
personality, aptitudes and interests in the various military opportunities.        
                   

SCHOOL-TO-WORK APPRENTICSHIPS
The San Francisco Bay Area offers more than 60 unique Apprenticeship Training Programs that help
train and qualify indiviuals for challenging
Employment. Many apprenticeship programs offer paid training and other benefits including health
care.  Matching interest to apprenticeship programs is a specialty of College and Career Associates.
                 

ADDITONAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
College and Career Associates provides programs and assistance for international students, transfer
students, summer programs, GAP year planning, graduate school search and admission and
volunteer and extracurricular activities.
